Fishing
Someone once said that there are two types of fisherman - those who fish for sport and those who fish for fish. Here at Grider Hill Marina & Resort we believe in both. Grider Hill is located on the deepest part of Lake Cumberland making it a fantastic site for fishing all year round.
Even with lower lake levels due to current work being done on Wolf Creek Dam, it’s still about 100 feet deep off our deck, and as one local guide was quick to point out “less water and the same amount of fish!” In fact, several of Kentucky’s record fish have been taken in the waters of Lake Cumberland, including a 58 lb Striped Bass and a 36 lb sturgeon.
Here at Grider Hill Marina & Resort we are proud to host some of the most experienced and finest award-winning fishing guides in the country, some of whom will even clean your catch of the day.
